Alpha 2005

In the time of the 1st and 2nd Temple Periods only the wines from the best areas - “terroir” - were allowed to be used in the Temple. These wines were called Alpha.

Alpha is made from a blend of Shiraz and Merlot. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. The result is a dark red wine with a rich bouquet and aroma.

Shani 2005

In Hebrew, one of the names for the color red is shani.

1. In Biblical times, when all of Jericho was destroyed by God, the only structure left standing was the house of Rachav, which was protected by a red shani.

2. At the time of the temples in Jerusalem, the People of Israel used to mark the most beautiful fruits in their orchards with a shani ribbon in order to bring the best of their crops to the temples.

Shani is made from a blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It is aged for 18 months in oak barrels – and the result is this dark red wine with a fine aroma and mellow taste.
